If deeper intimacy is what you seek
Be still O thou soul. . . and let God speak
Hear Him in the rustling of leaves
His whisper floating upon gentle breeze

The ocean's roar will sound of His might
Listen for His footsteps in the solitude of night
Even in laughter His heartbeat can be heard
His song so merry in the chirping little bird

A baby's cry can ring of His desire
His undying love felt in the warmth of a fire
His beautiful face on mountain and meadow
And tender touch in the stream's steady flow

A prayer is more than words can reveal
For its with our senses the heart doth feel
God Is here. . . closer than our breath
Present in the veil between life and death

Hear Him, feel Him, see Him in each moment
His presence in the earth truly Heaven-sent
If deeper intimacy is what you seek
Be still O thou soul. . . and let God speak!

VERSE:
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion
until the day of Christ Jesus.
-- Philippians 1:6

THOUGHT:
God finished his creation work in the world in 6 days. He sustains it with his powerful word. He is still working on us and in us and he will continue to work his will in us to his glory (see Philippians 2:12-13) until Christ comes to take us home!

PRAYER:
Thank you Father, for being at work in my life. I confess that at times you seem distant, but looking back over the crucial moments of my life, I can see your fingerprints and your grace leading me to where I am today. Dear Father, please make your presence even more powerfully known in my life as I seek your will and commit to live to your glory. In the name of Jesus my Lord I pray. Amen
